Gainsbourg – 5 bis rue de Verneuil
"Here, this is my house. I don't know what it is: a sitting room, a music room, a brothel, a museum..." Time has stopped at 5 bis rue de Verneuil. Mythical Parisian place, this is where Serge Gainsbourg lived for more than twenty years. He composed his most sublime songs there and, over the years, has shaped a unique aesthetic universe populated by thousands of objects and memories. Once you have passed the famous graffiti-covered facade and crossed the gate, you enter the large living room, all upholstered in black. This is when the discovery of this fascinating place begins. The work of a decorator, collector and aesthete, Serge Gainsbourg's private mansion was also a living space, the haunt of one of the most important designers of the last century.
